Internet Engineering Steering Group

The Internet Engineering Steering Group (IESG) is responsible for technical management of IETF activities and the Internet standards process. It administers the process according to the rules and procedures that have been ratified by the ( ISOC ) trustees.
The IESG is directly responsible for the actions associated with entry into and movement along the Internet "standards track," including final approval of specifications as Internet Standards. It provides the final technical review of Internet standards and is responsible for day-to-day management of the IETF.   Read more

The Internet, a loosely-organized international collaboration of autonomous, interconnected network, support host-to-host communication through voluntary adherence to open protocols and procedures defined by internet standards.
Although the above definition is fundamentally correct, it conveys that no one is at the helm of the internet.

HISTORY OF INTERNET

In 1969 the year man walked on the moon, the U. S.   Defense  Department set an Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA) for research purpose in the area of defense.They designed a network of four computer to exchange and share their data, one in California and three in Utah.  Read more
